My Thoughts on Phase 2 p90x

Ok now that I was used to the one muscle day on and one off I was thrown into what I call Balloon Arm phase. Balloon arm refers to how your arms feel after doing the two upper body workout DVD’s: Shoulder, Triceps and Back and Biceps. This was truely one of those “I hate it but I love it” weeks. What a surprise, MORE VARIETY! The days of the week seemed to go by fast with respect to workouts. But by week 6 my body needed Carbs. See I continued the Fat Shredder Phase to the maximum 6 weeks. I carried it an extra 2 weeks over the recommended 4 because I felt I needed more fat to shred. Im glad I did but Im also glad I listened to my body that said MORE CARBS! I think that phase two was the most physically exhausting but the most rewarding of all phases.
I seemed to notice more physical changes in myself and I had accomplished so much more. For phase two my goal was to do my pushups on my feet. As hard as it was but as with any of the exercises, if you push yourself you will get there and the best part was only if I pushed myself did I “deserve” the mighty tasty Recovery Drink. I had not purchased it until the 2nd phase but felt since I was so physically exhausted I should get it. I was so glad I did. My husband who was not a shake drinker even looked forward to them after a workout. I also looked forward to our weekly Friday night workouts with friends. The kids would go to bed and we would workout and treat ourselves a little. The goal was to be good all week and enjoy ourselves after a tough workout: usually Kenpo or Plyometrics. We created “skinny drinks”. So we enjoyed our “skinny drinks” and sampling of some Thai Food and that was enough to keep us going.
So, 60 day measurements in my mind were dramatic for me. I saw abs I had never seen before and arms I had been missing in a very long time. Diet remained about the same. My body has gotten used to the diet. After all this time the scale only moved 6-9 lbs up and down. But inches and fat had just melted away. I feel it everyday I put my saggy clothes on.
This is where I decided to become a Beachbody Coach and am so glad I did. I had so many people asking me what I was doing to look like this. I decided I would enjoy some extra income and push myself harder and share the information about health and fitness to everyone I could.
