My thoughts on Phase 3 of p90x

So the great thing about p90x is the variety.  So much variety that when it comes to Phase 3, this is where all the magic happens.  Your muscles are still confused due to the fact that each week is different.  You’ve done these DVD’s before but since there are so many moves on each disc you tend to forget what they are until Mr. Horton shows you and then “bang” ”oh yeah I remember this one”…argh.  But you will never get bored.  So, I have bought some new clothes but am afraid to buy more because I have 2 weeks left and I just wonder where I will be there.  Since I still feel there is some fat to lose and some more learning to do I will refrain.  My goal is to repeat p90x again with more friends and move on to the next Beachbody exciting program.  I have gained so much confidence with this due to many factors.

  1. Successfully getting this far
  2. Looking forward to more
  3. Great support System

Side Note:  My wonderful husband of 11 years decided to join my plan because there was not good TV on in the summer.   Let me tell you I was shocked that he stuck with it more then the 1st week.  I gave him one week.  Truth of the matter is he hasn’t missed a workout.  His biggest struggle has been diet and even with that he has shown dramatic results.  He has made my late night workouts very do-able and we did it as a team.

Post 90 Days Note:  I feel so confident these days knowing that I have completed 90 days and was able to truly commit to this program even with 2 little kids at home and working full time.  If I could do it anyone can.  Decide, Commit, Succeed….that is the Beachbody Motto and now I live this daily.  I am 95% where I want to be in order to maintain, so now after 3 weeks of maintenance and rest I have chosen to continue to push myself with p90Plus.  This system is an additional extreme workout plan consisting of new, advanced moves that are more fun and have once again more variety.  I can’t wait to see what is possible in another 90 days.  Stay tuned to my progress.
